Nate comes to Agri Beef from a small town in Western Oregon where he worked for his family’s small pork and beef processing facility. After attending Oregon State University, Nate worked for a dairy then in December 2015 came to work at Washington Beef. Today, Nate is the Value- Added Product (VAP) Manager at Washington Beef and his favorite part of his job is learning more about the meat and cattle industry. Nate comments, “I love selling the Agri Beef story to friends, family, and anyone that gets lucky enough to be seated next to me on an airplane.”

Addi Cantrell

Cattle Procurement Manager ,
Boise Office

Addi, was born and raised in rural Idaho and grew up in the heart of agriculture. She went to the University of Idaho where she obtained her degree in Animal Science. From there she’s been involved in several cow-calf operations and finds great joy in that side of the industry. This passion led her to pursue work on the livestock side of Agri Beef’s operations where her favorite part of the job as the Cattle Procurement Coordinator is getting to build relationships with different producers and ranchers across the Northwest. Addi is excited and optimistic to be a part of the AB Livestock team as they are faced with challenges to expand and grow to meet rising demands for quality beef cattle.

Mill Manager ,
Boise Valley Feeders

Sam grew up in the industry on his family’s ranch and feedlot. He attended the University of Idaho where he received his degree in finance and accounting. Sam often says, “I have a profound passion for the cattle industry and cannot imagine doing anything else.” His favorite part of his job as the Mill Manager at Agri Beef’s Boise Valley Feeders is coming up with new and better ways to do things. He loves the challenges of figuring out how to make improvements on the job in collaboration with his team.

Raul & Ruben Gonzalez

Cattle Drover,
Washington Beef

Twins Raul and Ruben had immigrated to the United States from Mexico to begin working the orchards and in fruit packing warehouses- when they heard that Washington Beef was hiring. They joined the Washington Beef family 17 years ago and are excited to have a great working environment where they can see themselves staying until their retirement. Together, they are responsible for encouraging the cattle to move through the chutes as they enter the facility, ensuring a stress-free environment.

Leah Scholz

Leah Scholz

Bull Development Manager,
Bull Development Center

Leah was raised on her family’s farm in Lancaster, Kansas. Her passion has always been cattle. Leah has shown livestock at the county, state, and national levels; even in Argentina for the El Volcan Ranch. Leah was a member of livestock judging teams through 4-H, FFA, and at the collegiate level that achieved champion titles. After graduating Kansas State University, she began her career at Agri Beef. She started as a Management Trainee at Boise Valley Feeders in the cattle health department. She then led the feed crew by managing bunks, distribution, rations, and feed trucks. Leah oversees all the Wagyu bulls’ health, testing, feeding, and yard maintenance for the Snake River Farms program.

Matt grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and has extensive experience in the cattle industry across the United States. Matt brings incredible industry insight to the Agri Beef team in his role as Director of Feed Yards for the AB Livestock Division. Matt says,” It appears the feed yard industry is an affliction/addiction for me. There is never any shortage of challenge, which is why I guess I like it.” He is excited to be a part of a team that produced such high-quality beef and enjoys the opportunities the industry provides.

Sylvia Navarro

Operations Assistant,
Washington Beef

Sylvia has performed many roles over her 22-year career with Washington Beef, but now enjoys her role of Operations Assistant. In this role she juggles many tasks such as reporting, safety audits and communications among the Operations Team that ensures the smooth flow of daily production. Sylvia is honored to be a part of the Agri Beef family and commends the company for always improving upon employee benefits and presenting new opportunities to those who work to uphold the company’s values.

Daniel Quezada

Payroll/HR Systems Manager,
Boise Office

Daniel comes to Agri Beef with over 25+ years working in Human Resources. He has been the Payroll/HR Systems Manager at Agri Beef’s Boise headquarters office for the past year and a half and manages payroll of Agri Beef’s 1,200+ employees to ensure they receive accurate paychecks. Daniel loves HR because it is an ever changing and growing field with never a dull moment!

McKenzie Ford

Customer Care Manager,
Boise Office

McKenzie comes to Agri Beef from a logging and ranching family in Northern California. She moved to Boise to attend Boise State University where she played golf and decided to stay after graduation because she loved everything Boise and Idaho had to offer. McKenzie joined the team working in Agri Beef’s Ecommerce division and is now the Customer Care Manager where her favorite part of the job is getting to interact with customers.
