A PRIME LOCATION.
Located in--and named for--Idaho's Snake River plain, Snake River Cattle Feeders is surrounded by hundreds of square miles of fertile grain and potato fields. This excellent location provides a steady supply of potato, barley, wheat, and high-moisture corn--a healthy, economical base for our feed rations.
The Snake River plains have also provided an extremely stable, highly experienced workforce. The average length of service for a Snake River employee is nearly eight years and, together, our feeding crew has over 50 years of experience. It's this level of commitment and quality that makes Snake River the right place for your cattle.
COMMITMENT TO CALVES.
To ensure the best results for your investment, Snake River employs some of the top cattle consultants in the country. During the crucial growth stage of young cattle, we provide more individual attention and detail management than most feedlots--making our calf-feeding system second to none.
Our trained cowboys are uniquely qualified to care for calves and we have dedicated several holding pens exclusively to strengthening the health and increasing the performance of young cattle. We are rigorous in our commitment to provide at least 250 square feet of roaming space and one foot of bunk space per animal.
CATTLE-FOCUSED DESIGN.
Recently we spent over two million dollars building a state-of-the-art Animal Health Care facility, upgrading our grain-processing capabilities and renovating 80% of our pens. As part of the improvements, we poured new bunks for the cattle and improved the pen drainage system--all to make our high level of care even higher.
