Agri Beef Co. Partners with Loomis Cattle Company
to Develop the Finest Beef in the Northwest.
(Boise, ID) - Agri Beef Co. of Boise, Idaho has partnered with Loomis Cattle Company of Loomis, Washington
to focus their combined energy and resources for the development of the finest beef in the Northwest.
Both companies share a similar philosophy of respect for the land, livestock and sustainability as a
way of ranching in this part of the country.
As a vertically-integrated cattle company, Agri Beef Co. has had its hand in all aspects of the cattle
business, from cow/calf operations to cattle feeding to production and sales. Agri Beef felt strongly
about reinforcing this position by searching for the ultimate ranching partnership that would further
their development of superior Northwest livestock genetics and lead credence to their brand, Double
R Ranch Northwest Beef. Agri Beef found the ideal partner in Loomis Cattle Company, located in north-central
Washington near the town of Loomis, just a few miles from the Canadian border. This 60,000-acre cattle
ranch owned by Howard & Marilyn Asmussen is capable of running 2,000 head and will be renamed Double
R Ranch.
“The Asmussen’s are some of the most reputable ranchers in Washington and are well-recognized for raising
some of the best Angus cattle in the Northwest,” said Rebholtz. Howard has been ranching in the Northwest
since he was a teenager and is very knowledgeable in what it takes to raise top quality beef.
The Asmussen’s are well known to Agri Beef. They have historically fed their calves at El Oro, Agri
Beef’s feedyard in Moses Lake and sold their cattle to AB Foods Washington Beef Processing Plant, Agri
Beef’s subsidiary in Toppenish.
